I am new to the whole idea of blogging and learning as I go along. Its just a chance allowing me to express some opinions on some very real issues…the subjects of criminal justice, criminology, terrorism, government, and the sub-topics deep within.
To introduce myself, my name is Gregory Cearley. I am a teacher at Caprock High School in Amarillo, Texas, where my subjects are criminal justice and law enforcement. My career includes juvenile probation officer, child protective services specialist, and education. I am a veteran of the United States Navy as a Gunner’s Mate stationed aboard the USS John Hancock (DD 981).
I am a graduate of Gunner’s Mate ‘A’ School while in the Navy. I have a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Midwestern State University. I am currently a student at Texas A&M-Commerce Graduate School with a major in Criminology and Homeland Security.
I am a former member of the Juvenile Justice Association of Texas and a current member of the Southwestern Association of Criminal Justice.
I look forward to expressing ideas and opinions on this blog.
